Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-05-18

This Refund Policy explains when Capital Fortress subscription fees are refundable, how to request a refund, and what to expect. Specific rights granted to consumers by law in your country of residence apply on top of this policy and are not limited by it.

1. Subscription fees

  • 14-day satisfaction window on a first-time paid subscription. If you purchase a paid subscription for the first time and you tell us within 14 days of the initial charge that you would like a refund, we will refund the initial subscription fee in full, no questions asked, and downgrade your account to the Free tier.
  • Renewal charges — subscriptions auto-renew. To avoid a renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date from your billing page. We do not provide refunds for renewals processed because cancellation was not made in time, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
  • Annual plans — once the 14-day satisfaction window has passed, annual fees are non-refundable. You retain access for the remainder of the paid period after cancelling.
  • Partial-period refunds are not issued; cancelling mid-period leaves you with access until the end of the billing cycle.

2. Student access via the SAFE course

Student tier access is bundled with enrollment in the SAFE course and is governed by the refund terms of the course at the time of purchase. The app-side Student tier itself has no separate fee and therefore no separate refund. If your course enrollment is refunded, your bundled Student tier ends at the same time.

3. Coupons, promotional credits, and free trials

Amounts paid using a coupon, gift code, promotional credit, or other free / discounted access are not refundable for cash or credit beyond the actual amount you paid. Free trials are exactly that — free; they convert to a paid subscription only after the trial window unless you cancel.

4. When we may decline a refund

We may decline a refund request when:

  • The 14-day satisfaction window has lapsed for a new subscription, and your request is not based on a billing error.
  • The account has been used in a way that violates our Acceptable Use Policy or our Terms of Service.
  • The request relates to a fee already covered by an earlier refund or chargeback.
  • The fee covers a third-party charge (for example, a course fee or a payment-processor fee retained by Stripe for declined chargebacks).

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank — most issues are resolved within 1-2 business days. If we cannot resolve the issue and you initiate a chargeback that is later reversed in our favour, we may close the related account.

6. How to request a refund

Write to support@capitalfortress.org from the email address associated with your account. Include the invoice number (or approximate date of charge) and a brief description of why you are requesting the refund. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, generally within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card network.

7. EU and similar withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with statutory withdrawal rights, you may have a separate, time-limited right to withdraw from the contract for any reason. By starting to use the Service during this period you may waive that right for the parts of the Service that have already been provided to you. Where it applies, this statutory right is in addition to, and not limited by, this policy.

8. Updates

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your charge applies to that charge.
